Armor
With your experience thus far you realize you've no choice. You nod yes and then follow the healer to and guard to the armory. "You must have your own armor. There is little time left to make you your own, so you must choose from the spares we have. Also, your choice of weapon is up to you." The guard says as he shows around the armory. Spears, daggers, swords, bows, armor and many other instruments of war line the shelves and litter the floors and tables. They glisten in the daft torchlight. The Alpha rejoins your side once you've made your selection. A long red cape adorned with blades at the brim and a sturdy black iron chest plate are your first choices. Greaves and bracers of the same material adorn your paws as well. Lastly, a rounded helmet protecting your ears and a long curved bow make out your repertoire of battle gear. He looks on at your outfit with great admiration. You've great taste Traveler. I apologize for not having given my name. In the confusion I completely forgot. My name is Fettel, Alpha of this pack, though I believe you've gleaned that last fact for yourself, if I'm not mistaken. Right! Now, you will be accompanying me and my guard when we march. We are not looking for a fight but then, we must be prepared, must we not? Would you perchance know how to use your chosen weapons?"
Of course you'd never worn armor but thankfully you've fired a bow before and are familiar with it's intricacies. He is more than pleased to lead you to a test dummy to see what you can do. You draw your bow with ease and let fly a single arrow. A good hit and a good start but he insists you continue working at it. In the meantime, he shows you how to handle your armor and how to work with the bladed cloak.
