Stance Change(Quadruped)
The last set of options that lay before you on the screen is your option for stance. You can choose to remain an anthro, become a taur, or even go into a quadruped form. You consider your options carefully; while remaining in anthro form or going into a taur form will allow you to interact with things easier, the chance to become a “normal” cute, small fox in all it’s glory is too much to pass up. You hit the “quadruped” option and await the next change.
This time the warmth is more intense, seeming to urge your body down on all fours. You drop forward, hands instinctively curling into fists. You can feel your bones bending and cracking, taking the shape of your new form. You gasp out, your entire body structure changing into a much smaller form. You squeeze your eyes tightly closed, waiting until the change will be over.
It takes a full minute or so for the change to take place. Eventually the warmth fades and you feel more comfortable, more natural in your pose. You open your golden eyes to find that the scenery around you has changed.
For miles around you there appears to be a lush, green grassland. High above you the sky is shining a brilliant blue. Fluffy white clouds roll within the sky and a bright sun shines down upon you, warming your fur. Your ears twitch as your eyes adjust to this new light source slowly, taking in everything that you can. Everything feels so real… it is as if you truly are a fox! This game, you realize, is more high tech than you give it credit for.
Taking one pawstep forward you feel something else begin to shift as well. Your thought process seems to be altering as well, individual thoughts slowing down as you truly settle into your form. Moments later your mind seems to have gone blank, replaced with the instincts and thought patterns of a true fox in the wild.
With your twin tails swishing you start off through the grass. There are three needs that you long to fill right now -- hunger, thirst, and a place to sleep. You don’t even think, you let your instincts guide you.
Scenting the air you can smell prey on the wind, as well as water. Your sharpened sense of hearing can pick up what appears to be the babbling of a small brook -- a perfect source of water for a smaller creature such as yourself.
Your long, slender legs lead you through the grass for a couple of minutes before you arrive at the water. You glance around, ears twitching again as you search for not only sounds of prey but for other predators as well. You don’t know what you could potentially face in this world, only that you must be prepared to take whatever steps are necessary in order to ensure your survival.
After you confirm that there are no other predators in the area you must now figure out what it is you’re going to hunt. Your stomach is running on empty and the option for smaller, easier to catch prey is available. But you must also consider the fact that if you go after the harder to catch, larger prey that it will fill you up more and give you the energy you need to find a den.
