First off while their is not to much focus on the transformations themselves their is enough. Mostly dealing with the instincts of werewolves in human form.
Our main character is a coyote shifter. In the first battle we get an idea of her character as she takes on stronger opponents to protect someone.
This is referenced through the rest of the book, as she tries to find out the situation
Overall it is a good book but not very transformation focused. On the plus side unlike some of the others books romance is kept low key.
I think this book gets in by its own merits and not for a lack of anything better.
