In a room
The sign reads
"Welcome all new travellers.
To continue you must go through a series of doors.
After going through you will pick a costume. You will then become a half- human and half that creature.
After a week(100 mins a hour,20 hrs a day,10 days a week) has passed you may morph and get another costume. To start of with you will only be able to become 40% human to 60% human.
If you put on a costume you will then become that creature, be teleported to it's home town and have to wait a week before being able to morph.
After 50 costumes you may change into one of your other costumes and become 30% to 70% human. When changing costumes you must wait at least an hour before you can change costumes again.
100 different species/gender costumes allows you to gender-morph and become 20% to 80% human
200 different species costumes allows you to combine costumes and become 10% to 90% human
400 different species costumes allows you to return to your world with no more morphing
And 800 different species costumes makes a polymorph and allows you to morph outside of this world.
Also if you have a costume like a centaur then the human part will always be human and is counted towards the human percentage.
Any gender/species transformation magic of yours can only change your gender(if you have at least 100 costumes) and the animal part to a different animal.
When you change into a different costume (that you already have) you may teleport to that species home town but you will have the week penalty where you have no costume changes.
If you die while wearing a costume you will be reborn at the local inn (or appropriate location ). If you have more then 100 costumes you will lose the costume you had when you died and go to an appropriate place for your next costume.
If you fail to make it out in 100 years(100 weeks in a year) one of your possible forms will be chosen and you will be permanently stuck in that form(apart from magic) until you die. Also there will be no possibility of going back to your world.
Also, one final note: should you take a female form and become pregnant, you won't be able to change your gender until the child is born, though the other aspects of your form may change (the child will change to match.) That is all, and good luck!
You realise that you have to do what the sign said to do and go through the doors and grab a costume.
Alternatively you could use the key system to determine the room

Water Creatures
You find yourself in what appears to be a glass room deep in the ocean.
The stairs are blocked by a force field.
You realise you have to go through one of the three dark blue doors numbed 1,2 & 3.
What door do you want?

Myth Water
You go through the door.
All of a sudden it slams shut and with no handle on this side it appears that you are stuck.
There are two more doors however and both of them have a sign on them saying
Costume room for Element: Water

Female Myth Water
You go through the door.
All of a sudden it slams shut and with no handle on this side it appears that you are stuck.
There are five costumes in this room, all of them female, all of them are myth water creatures.

Mermaid
You see a collection of items. As you walk towards them every other costume disappears.
- A tablet.
- A wig of blonde hair
- A padded seashell bra
- And a fish tail
Suddenly you here a large crack and look up to see water creeping in.
You swallow the tablet and try and speak but your voice has changed.
You put on the wig and it attaches itself to your head and you can't get it off.
You put on the bra and watch as your expandingnew breasts replace the padding.
The last thing you put on is the fish tail , when you put it on you feel your legs kind of melt and form into the tail.
By the time the water has finished rushing in the transformation is complete and you swim out into the ocean.

Others
You couldn't explain it if you wanted, but for some reason, that distant figure out there in the water gives you a really bad feeling.
You turn away, and instead of the open water, you see a large coral reef before you, rising up from the sandy seabed; it is delightful show of grace and color, seaweed gently rocking to the flow of water, fish swimming busily about, Sea Anemones adding bright splashes of color to the scene.
You swim slowly toward it, staring wonderingly about at everything; below you, you see dark spots in the coral, like holes or the mouths of small caves.
You see something else below you, and you almost do a double-take: a splash of riotous color below you, greens and blues and reds and very color of the rainbow, they swim about casually or lie about, lounging on the coral, talking and laughing and playing with each other: mermaids!
You give a flip of your tail, and almost go tumbling; you correct yourself and then chuckle ruefully; it looks like swimming with a tail is not as easy as it looks! A little more carefully, you start swimming down toward them.
As you draw near, one mermaid looks up and sees her; she gives a wiggle of her tail and rises up easily from her resting place atop of a large sponge coral. "hello!" she calls, swimming out to meet you. "Are you new here?"
"Yes!" you say, getting a good look at this other mermaid: she has long red hair that floats about her head when at rest and lags behind her head like a second tail when she swims, as she is now. The scales of her tail are a flashing iridescent red, shading to a bright orange underneath and on her fins.
You two reach each other, and she reaches out and grabs your hand. "Hello!" she says, flashing you a bright smile. "Welcome to the reef!"
"Thank you," you say, a little surprised by her excitement. "It's-"
"What's your name?" she asks you.
"It's-" you hesitate, unsure how to answer; of course you know what your name is, but should you go by that name anymore? Now you are a mermaid?"
"My name is Sophia!" she says with a wide grin, ignoring her own previous question. "Come and join us!"
"Well, I'd love to-" you start to say, but Sophia turns away, still holding your hand, and drags you down toward where the little school of mermaids is at play.
What will happen next?

Males.
You lean back on a bed of coral(ah-ha! a pun!) clutching a clustre of sea grapes in your hand; daintily, you pluck the sea grapes one by one and chew them, crushing the sweet little bodies in between your teeth.
It was very odd at first, after Sophia took you running(swimming? Splashing) all around the little undersea park, introducing you to each and every one of the mermaids here; they all seem to put up with her constant talking with a little irritation, but they greeted you friendly enough. After meeting everyone (and forgetting most of their names) Sophia took you here; she sits beside you on the bed of coral, happily devouring a large piece of sea candy.
She looks up suddenly, and nudges you in the side. "Oooh!" she says delightedly. "Look!"
You follow her gaze up to see a small band of mermen swimming by overhead; your mouth falls open, your heartbeat hammering in your ears as you stare at them, your cheeks turning an embarrassed pink as you remember your earlier thought about finding merman, and staring at their perfectly-molded muscular bodies; a few of the mermaids call out to the mermen, who respond with shouts and laughs of their own; a few of the mermaids even swim up to join the mermen on their journey towherever they are going.
"Ooh, come on!" Sophia cries, pulling at your arm. "Let's join them!"
"But-" you cry as she pulls you up. "But where are we going?!"
"To the Smoking Hole!" she cries out with a laugh. "Come on!" she says again, pulling harder on your arm.
Curious, you allow her to pull you up away from the reef up into open water.
As you rise, you can feel a tide catching hold of you: you're moving into another layer of water, this one moving very quickly toward whatever the ‘Smoking Hole' is; you kick your tail idly as you are born along by it, along with the other mermen and mermaids.
Two mermen swim toward you and Sophia. "Hello, Sophia!" one calls; he is shorter and broader than the other, and has bright red hair and glittering green scales. He holds a two pointed triden in his hands which ripple with muscle. You find yourself staring at the play of muscle across his wide tan chest and thick shoulders, and blush a furious scarlet when you see he notices you doing it. he only grins at you, and youi turn to his friend.
The other merman looks you over, and apparently likes what he sees, because he gives you a friendly smile. His hair is green and bound in long braids that tumble down his back and around his shoulders. He is long and lean, whipcord-thin with pale skin and dull light blue scales on his long sinuous tail. "Hello," he says. "I'm Nickolas, and this is Alexander."
You nod and smile. "Hello!" you say. "I'm-"
"Oh, isn't this great?!" Sophia squeels. "I can't wait to see who gets picked today!"
What does that mean? What is the 'Smoking Hole'? And what can you do about Nickolas and Alexander, and the way your mermaid heart beats faster at the mere sight of them?

"But what is the Smoking Hole?"
"But what is the Smoking Hole?" you ask Sophia, then you follow the long line of merfolk swimming around an upthrust of coral, and you see it.
You freeze in place, staring open-mouthed at the sight before you. It is frankly incredible: a gigantic hole in the bottom of the sea: it is so big, you can hardly see the other side of it. Looking down, you almost feel vertigo: it stretches down further than the eye can see, disappearing into darkness far below.
And it really does smoke: dark wispy clouds rise up from the black water far below, filling the water up here with a rough sulphury stench that makes you blink your eyes and cough as it reaches your eyes and gills.
The merfolk have gathered in a long line at the edge of the reef overlooking the Smoking Hole. Looking around, you finally gain an idea of the sheer size of the reef: it must be miles across! Looking about, you see a pair of merfolk nearby swimming at the edge of the Smoking Hole. "Who are they?" you ask, pointing toward them.
Sophia follows your pointing finger and grunts dismissively. "That's Hermakles," she says. "And some slut he's found."
"Hermakles does not reverence the spirits as we do," Nick says softly, glancing toward the distant pair of merfolk; Hermakles and the mermaid brush against each other, then descend into a hollow in the coral together, then vanish from sight. Nick grunts and turns away from that. "Someday he'll go too far, and then we'll see about him," he mutters.
Then it begins: there is no signal given, no sign to start, but one of the mermen pounds the heel of his trident on the coral. Once, twice, again, continuing, a single steady beat.
Another merman takes it up, then another; one of the mermaids takes up a pair of shells and claps them together in a light counterpoint to the steady beat.
You glance around at the merfolk as the beat swells, some taking it further, beating out rapid tattoos that dance gaily across the beat;still others begin to dance, swaying in place, beating their tails and writhing sensuously to the rhythm that beats through the nerves like an exciting fire.
The beat swells in your ears, hammering out a rhythmic, hypnotic beat in your mind; you cannot help but sway to it, your body responding to the music whether you will or not.
But you don't want to stop it: it feels so good! You dance to the beat, feeling some feeling swelling in your breast, an expanding feeling, as if you are growing, soaring higher and higher on the music. The mermaids begin to cheer, a long ululating howl that echos across the Smoking Hole; lost in the music, you don't even notice it is you they are cheering for as you dance out over the edge, directly over the deep blackness, lost to the world as if possessed.
Suddenly, a second presence intrude on you: a merman swims to you, dancing to the same beat as you. The merfolk howl as you come together, joining in a writhing, passionate dance; there are no words for it, but in that moment you can feel the spirits' hand upon you, granting you a tiny measure of their power as you dance to their glory.
You feel the merman's powerful body pressing against yours and you cry out in an explosion of passion, of pleasure and power that overwhelms you.

You wake up
A long time later, you wake up.
The last you remember is the dance, the dance over the Smoking Hole, and the tremendous power that coursed through you, the rhythm, the drumbeat that filled your body and hammered your soul.
You try to move, and moan helplessly: you ache from the top of your head to the tips of your toes- er, the tip of your tail (you still haven’t quite adjusted to your new state).
You open your eyes and look around: you lie on your back on a bed of soft purple seaweed like what you had seen growing near the edge of the Smoking Hole; you lie in a narrow little cave, lit by the luminescence from a sea anemone that hangs from the ceiling; a curtain of hanging green seaweed closes off the entrance to the cave, concealing what lies without from you.
You sit up, and see a bowl of what looks likes some sort of wine resting beside the bed. Feeling suddenly very thirsty (which is odd, considering you are living underwater) you reach over and grab it up. You take a deep draft of the wine, finding it is sweet, with a deep fruity taste that eases your throat and makes you feel a little light-headed. it is a lot stronger than it seems at first, you realize, as the room seems to rock around you.
Carefully, you set the bowl down, and try to get up, but then the hanging seaweed is brushed aside and a mermaid swims in.
“Oh!” she squeaks, staring at you with wide bright eyes. “You’re awake!”
“Yes,” you agree, though you find it hard to focus on her.
She hurries up and grabs up the bowl. “Don’t you worry- i mean, don’t move -not I’m not trying to order you,” she babbles almost incoherently. “I mean, I’ll get you breakfast!” She almost drops the bowl, barely recovers, gives you a sickly, embarrassed grin, then almost hits her head on the cave wall as she escapes back out again.
You stare after her, only more confused now than you were before.
You are feeling a little better by the time the little mermaid comes back, and you can get a better look at her: she looks young, and is short and stocky, with long green hair that curls around her shoulders and a short broad tail with green scales, shading from dark around her waist to very pale by her broad fin. “Welcome awake, Lady,” she says respectfully, setting down a platter by the bed within reach.
“Lady?” you say, confused, staring at her.
“Of course, Lady,” she says. She giggles, closing her eyes and pressing a finger to her pert green lips. “But you are new here, Lady; yesterday, you danced the dance, Lady: you were chosen by the spirits.”
“I was?”
“Yes!” she says brightly. “Now, you must come forth and take your place, lady! You are blessed by the spirits, and now you will take a wonderful place as our Lady!”:
While she was talk, you ate the food on the platter. Now, you look up at her, only more confused now than ever before. “Huh?”
She reaches down and takes you by the hand. “Please, Lady!” she says excitedly. “Come!’
You let her lead you away, up from the bed and to the curtain of hanging green. As she sweeps the curtain aside, you hear the cheers of scores of merfolk as you swim out into the light: they stare at you with wide, almost worshiping, eyes. You look about at them, and you realize that your life is about to enter into a different, glorious new chapter.
