It happened so fast.

 

You pinned the human to the ground, snarling. The human was screaming so loud. So loud. It was annoying. You hated it.

 

You wanted it to stop.

 

Before you knew it, your claws were sinking into his neck as you sliced through his jugular and the screaming was replaced by a horrible gurgling sound as the victim choked on his own blood. Percy was crying behind you and jumped on your back, trying to stop you, but you hardly even noticed her tiny body.

 

Once the human stopped struggling, you sat up and blinked, your consciousness trying to break through the fog. You could barely even hear Percy's voice anymore...

 

...and then you collapsed on the bloodstained ground.
