Flying
Soaring off into the sky once more you battle the stinging ache in your sides from where your wings attach. Every muscle seems ready to burst with the stress until you finally reach the bottom of the mountain and crash into the sand of a beach at it's foot. The water soaking up into the sand somewhat cushions the blow but the wind is still knocked from you and you screech out the last of your breath. Gasps come and go before you've returned to normal and begin to regain your footing. The warm sand and cool water comfort you some but cannot quite ease your pain. You've pulled muscles throughout your wings and they won't be ready for flight for at least a day. The sun drenched beach is all you can see besides water in front and the mountains behind. Another hunt is in order and you try to take to the skies again but as soon as you flit your wings shearing pain shoots throughout your entire frame.
