Regroup
As you started to descend, you took note of some of the other pathways. A part of you wanted to see what was beyond those as well, but you didn’t allow your curiosity to throw off your main goal.
“Hey everyone!” Barley shouted down to the others. “Are you all okay?” he continued. The dog wagged his tail slowly in excitement for finally seeing his other friends once again.
“You’re back! Barley!” The two down below called up to you quickly before your massive flapping wings slowed to a halt.
“Once again! Our great protector helped me out of a sticky sticky situation.” He added. “Where are the others?” he asked. Casey thought for a moment before responding.
“They were all looking for you guys!” The lioness added.
“What happened?” You asked, as you remembered the last thing you could before blanking out and teleporting to another space.
“Well.” Jamison added. “After our hero passed out, there was a bright flash of light around the room. It blinded us all, and before we knew it, we were all separated.” He continued, looking a bit distressed. “How did you find each other?”
“I was just in the room with Barley when I came to.” You added.
“Yeah. I just ended up on a table, the hero was standing over me and he helped me to escape!” He scratched his head for a moment. “It was pretty scary.” He continued before returning the question to them. Casey was the first to answer.
“I had to tie some kinds of knots to fit into a wall. I was completely trapped, but when I found my way out of the puzzle type thing, I ended up back here with James.” She added.
“Yeah. I was just here the whole time.” The cat added.
“Wait a minute.” You thought to yourself, thinking back to the screens you had seen earlier. “Weren’t the twins supposed to be together?” you pondered to yourself.
