Just go
The first moment you had a chance, you ran into the front of the building. Without any regard to what’s going on around you, it seemed to be the best possible course of action in your mind. The quicker you move, the more likely it is for you to survive. You didn’t care to remember which hallways you ran down, but the sterile white walls and stairwells seemed to enhance your confusion as you turned and skillessly navigated the strange new environment.
You could hear footsteps gaining behind you. They were much heavier and quicker sounding than yours, and before long, it sounded like they were right upon you.
“Uh oh! They knew exactly where I went!” You thought, noly moments before a heavy weight dragged you down to the floor. The last thing you heard was the sharp crack of your head as it slammed hard against the floor, then everything thereafter seemed to unfold as if you were watching a movie. Your vision went black, and everything sounded far away. The last thing you thought was how you never expected it to end like this.
