Meeting A Friend
The wingtips span out in front of you, the light air bristles your feathers. Heart racing, you watch frozen as you realize that the earth is still coming forth. Flapping hard the wings tumble before you. Wind howls through the sky plummeting you can't reach your wings forward and close your eyes.
Like a lifting blow something wraps around your talons, or at least what you believe is them. You open them watching the sun and the world around you is upside down. Rocking left and right you look towards a broad-chested bird around your own size. Whoever they may be, they were flapping furiously to help keep you up, you watch as the world starts descending again. A voice calls out.
"Open you're wings! They screech, flapping hard. You don't question and open them a blast of wind hits the two of you back. Another spiral, you felt sick to your stomach and their talons dug into your own.
"I hate to tell you this." What now!? It barks in your mind. Forcing yourself you notice a tall tree, and that tree is simply getting closer. "This may hurt" A thump echoes through your mind, the shaking stabs pain through your chest. Your wings tangled on the branches, you pull them close to your body and perch yourself onto a branch. Some bruising but your fine otherwise, slowly stretching your wings you feel a light peaceful breeze push against them. Scanning the horizon, a shadow envelopes your world.
"There you are! Are you okay?" A male, your eyes sink a little as you remember the genie's words. His eyes pierce at yours.
"Are you okay?" You acknowledge the fact quickly, chuckling nervously after. "I used to be human" He began. "There isn't a reason to be afraid.
Trying to calm yourself, you force your wings closed. "I want to leave this world. There has to be a way out, will you help?" Pausing you say
