“Yes,” you say. “I can also understand the guards.”
The dragon turns to the guards “Apparently she can understand you.” Then he turns back to you. “Can you not speak their language?”
“Apparently not” you say “I don’t understand why I can understand but not speak it.”
The other dragon thinks for a bit, tapping his claws on the ground, but the only conclusion he seems to reach is a simple one. “Did you used to be human?”
You nod. “Yeah”.
He nods. “Sounds like you’re a dragon shifter, just not able to control your shifting properly. ”
Your eyes grow wide in surprise, a way to go back to being human? You ponder if this means you can be a man again as well.
“If you are a shifter it will probably take a couple of years for you to understand the shift enough to go between the two forms. A couple of decades to allow you to be a true shifter with other forms.”
You sigh. Looks like you are still stuck for a few years at least.
“If you would like to follow me we can at least get you tested. What is your name anyway?”
