"What's going to happen to me?"
Suddenly, she hears a voice in her head. "It won't be so bad. You'll get used to it."
"Who are you?"
"I'm you. Well, what you are becoming." The voice says "You'll get used to it."
"No I won't!"
"You will. In time you'll come to like it here. It's safe and there is always hay to eat."
The voices giggles.
"Just forget about the outside. It's not your world anymore."
"What about my friends? Do you want me to forget them too?"
"Friends? You don't have any friends. They all abandoned you. You were all alone until we found you."
"You're lying!"
"Search your feelings. You know it to be true."
Daniel's head hurts and she shuts her eyes.
"I'll.. I'll never forget."
"We'll see. Take your time. Days run into weeks here. We have all the time in the world."
Daniel stays silent. The voice is wrong, she knows this. Her friends will save her. They have to.
"They will. They have to." She whispers
Just then she hears the voice in her head again. "Fine, don't believe me. But you're missing out. Here, feel the hay, and let your hunger get sated. You won't have to think as much afterwards."
"I..."
