“Why am I like this?” the younger sphinx asks.

 

“Well long before you were born the magical creatures decided to hide, the spell that was used , well it came with complications. We thought we had figured them all out but it seems like we missed at least one”

 

“You mean that I was changed into this? And who is we?” she asks

 

“The magical creature society. We were so pleased when you were born, first success in a long while. Sorry about you ending up female, that was not expected”

 

“How many are there?”

 

“I think last count we had at least a thousand creatures around the world. Children maybe ten. You are the first however to change, so there is a lot of interest in you doing well.”
