“No thanks. I think I’m good,” Daniel said, scooting back a little ways. Jake shrugged.

 

“Whatever you say.” His voice had a sing-song tone to it. Pammy smacked his arm.

 

“Don’t be a creep,” she chided. Jake held his hands up in defense.

 

“Hey I wasn’t being creepy! Just friendly! I mean we are friends after all, aren’t we?”

 

Pammy looked unimpressed. Daniel waved his hand and spoke before the two could get another word in.

 

“Look it’s alright, I’m sure it wasn’t like that.” Daniel didn’t particularly like the thought of her best buds wanting to get it on with her. “Let’s talk about something else. I’m sure there are more important things to discuss like um...”
