The last day

The crowd was large and everyone from the town gathered at the town entrance. The massive but mostly symbolic gate where most people entered stood wide open as the sheep woman moved towards it. For the first time in these 14 days you gaze upon human faces and you feel a small sense of dread and anxiety wash over you as the sheep talks with the humans. All eyes are on her as she climbs a small podium with a microphone. It is quite clear that she has an announcement to make.

 

"Dear friends!" she begins. "the organizers would like to thank you for your participation in this event. They hope you found these 14 days enjoyful! If you wish to leave form an orderly line and go towards the exit. The people here will help you with your costumes. Alternatively, the organizers say you are free to stay and live here if you wish." She announces and after a moment of silence the realization hits you and the crowd. Some instantly go towards the exit, others start going back to their new houses, but you stand there dumb folded as you stare back at Ethan who seems as confused and as indecisive as you are.
