You both see and feel the universe shift around you. The world turns into a million different colours and sounds. You begin to feel dizzy. All the colours and sounds are too much for your brain, and you pass out.

 

When you wake up you are wearing a uniform. You look down and see the obligatory phaser in a holster on your belt. Looking at your shirt reveals one of the badge/communicator things.

 

A quick look in the mirror in your quarters reveals your rank. You smile at your rank, which is...
