To your surprise, he did not take the comment as insolence but more of confusion. He could see the truth in your eyes and the sincerity in your voice. The incredibly observant wolf now speaks again, "Where did you come from? My pack and I did not smell you on our way through the forest, and yet, here you stand, before us with a unique scent unbecoming of this land." His voice comes as comforting as possible considering the situation.
"I do not come from... Around here." You reply.
"A traveler? Possibly of worlds, I take it. Answer me truthfully, where did you come from?" He comes again, more forceful this time.
"I do. I come from another world. I arrived here mere hours ago." You tell him, fully aware of how ridiculous you sound at this point.
He simply smiles and pats you on the shoulder with a large grayed paw. "This is great. We've been expecting you young one. I hope your journey was pleasant enough."
