You decide to go around the mountain when you get there as you can’t see the top due to the clouds. and bye the end of the day your back on the edge of the desert. Just 2 days across and you will be at the tower. Shouldn’t be any trouble at all; you’ve flown longer distances than that, right?

 

After sleeping the night you set off. The 1st day across is uneventful and you even find a nice oasis to sleep in for the night.

 

The next day however when you cast the pouch spell your wings shrink slightly and your feet double in size. This shocks you... until you recall the sphinx’s warning; use the pouch spell too often, and you end up turning more and more like a kangaroo!

 

But you need the pouch spell to transport the books. And you can’t leave them here to get wet... well... your destination isn’t that far away...
