Basement
You had already gone up, and you realized that your journey so far had exhausted you. It was clear that you were alone, and needed help in this new world, so why not at least get the help of gravity as you descend into the basement.
“Of course, if I want to figure out what’s going on, I have to enter the belly of the beast.” you repeat to yourself quietly, trying not to take up too much time or rouse any suspicion. In that moment you began making your way down the stairs; vertigo spun your head as you looked down, and you nearly started to lose your balance.
Folded over, you clutched the diagonal bars and struggled to catch yourself on the hard metal poles. It shook and shuddered as the weight of your body pressed hard against the rusted iron. The creaking sound of rust flaking onto the ground distracted you, but by the time you looked over to the disconnecting bar as it slid from the corner piece, your balance was completely lost.
Tumbling head first over the side of the stairs, you fell directly down the center of the immense spiralling structure. For a few seconds you felt weightless, peaceful, and the ceiling quickly rushed away from you in your vision. That was the last thing you remembered before you contemplated the fickle nature of the game you were playing.
