Delete It
In your eyes the only right thing to do was to completely delete the database, though it wasn’t ideal for your job, you knew that this was the step you had to take in order to help liberate all of the people who would ultimately be suppressed by this. And with a few clicks of your mouse you found your way to the ‘format system data’ option on your PC. Your heart began to beat with anxiety as you thought about what this could mean for society; you were only one click away from freedom.
It caught you off guard when you selected the simple button, but a popup came onto the screen, which frightened you. Upon looking a bit further, you realized it was a password prompt, you remembered that this was one of those tasks which you would admin access in order to do. Frantically you began to type in passwords which you would assume the leaders of this nation would have picked “******” nope. “************” nope “***” nope “****!” nope! And before long a red light started to flash, the entire pc was locked, and your paws began to shake as you heard someone approaching from the outside.
Quickly in defense, as they came through the door, you sprayed your stinky mist in their faces, disarming them for a moment as you began your escape. Your paws took you faster than any other guardsman in the castle, and the dexterity which allowed you to dodge and weave past their pointed spears had saved you from a gruesome end several times in your mad dash out of the palace.
As you neared the exit, the queen as well as a bunch of other guards stepped in front of you, causing you to rear back and stop in your tracks. You were caught. And it didn’t take them long to give you a particularly unfair trial, and tried you for treason.
Your punishment was to work in the cavernous underground mine shafts beneath the castle keep. And due to your previous lack of compliance, you were put in the isolation ward of the jailhouse, or was it a manufacturing plant? You weren’t too sure, but your heart sank into your stomach as you realized the extent of your punishment, as well as the extent of your crime.
You spent the last of your days working your fingers to the bone beneath the castle, your job was one of the most laborious ones, and you barely had time to have a break. Your feet ached almost constantly, as you were made to haul heavy mine carts up and down endless tunnels back and forth with the strength which almost allowed you to escape. Your punishment was rather fit for the crime, as they saw the physical potential in your body and took well advantage of this.
After days of this endless cycle of negative treatment, your old broken body gave out on you one night as you were sleeping, rendering you useless to their cause. As they transported you out on the stretcher, you faded in and out of consciousness, not knowing what was in store for you ahead, you just saw the bright light shining from outside of the mines. Before you made it, you fell asleep, finally getting some well deserved rest, though you had no recollection about what happened after that.
