His eyes light up in delight
You watch closely as he takes a bite, eager to see his reaction. It takes a second but you see his eyes light up in delight.
“You weren’t kidding, this burger tastes amazing! How have we never gone here before!”
“You said that the first time we went as well.” You chuckle knowing you made the right choice coming here. The both of you continue eating your respective burgers in a happy silence however before long you begin to get that familiar feeling of fullness and you have to stop before you can finish all of the chips that came with your order.
“Want my chips?” You ask him and he shakes his head.
“Nah, I’m full. But now that we’ve finished we should talk about how to get you back into your old body again.” You almost groan, you just had a lovely meal and all he wants to talk about is turning you back.
“Aren’t you gonna let us sit for a little bit before deciding that we should go on some magical quest to get my old body back?”
“Don’t you want to go back?” James asks you sounding confused.
“As I said before, it feels weird but I’ll live. Like I said I can’t remember much of my previous life so maybe I should just learn to have some fun.” You wink at James and chuckle as he shuffles slightly uncomfortably.
