“I… I don’t really know. You and I always used to joke that if either of us woke up a chick we’d just spend the entire time feeling our boobs… If we can find a way for me to go back I’ll take it… but until that moment comes I think I may just need to learn to accept it and have some fun.”
At that moment a different waitress from the one at the front came over and interrupted the two, “Can I get you two a drink?” You spend a second looking at James who looks back for a bit before shrugging.
“We’ll grab two cokes please.” The waitress writes it down before walking off towards the bar.
“That’s unlike you.” James smirks at you, “usually you try to break the bank with alcohol tabs.”
“You’re right, that’s like your old roommate. God it’s no wonder you were always single if that’s your best pick-up line!” You tease him right back before chuckling at his flushing cheeks.
“If we’re going to try and turn you back we need to figure out how you got into that room with all the different clothes… Can you remember what you were doing before you woke up in that room?”
“I was sleeping, aside from that…” You start thinking back to what you were doing but nothing seems to be glaring out at you that could have caused this, as you think you begin looking out into nothingness in the window next too James. “I have no clue… Come to think of it everything is starting to get a bit hazy…” This last section catches James’ attention.
“What do you mean?”
“It’s getting harder to remember anything from before I woke up this morning… well, back in my old life at least…” You look back to James who seems to be looking at you with his eyes wide open.
“If you can’t remember anything we may never turn you back!” James warns you.
“Yes but we’ve already bought this food, we might as well stay and enjoy it.” You reply to him, I think I can remember my life for at least another hour or so.
“And what if you don’t? It’s better if we prepare for the worst.”
“I’ll be fine, besides, where are you going to get paper from?”
