Wear the casual black top and skinny jeans.
You decide that the black top with skinny jeans looks alright for now and you walk out the room after putting on your sneakers. James looks up from the couch to see you walking out of your room ready to go.
“What? Not going to comb your fur like usual?” James teases you.
“Well if we don’t leave now we’ll miss our reservation so come on lets go!”
“And punctual? I think I might be warming up to this new persona of yours.” James gets up off the couch and you grab the keys to your car before walking off with James lagging slightly behind to lock the door to your apartment. You hop in the car and start it up right as James catches up and hops into the car. You pull out of the parking area and begin heading off to the burger joint you mentioned. While driving you notice a few anthros of all different species walking along the foot path but choose to mostly ignore it while driving.
“I think some part of me was still hoping that everyone else was human… I guess now.” You mention to James before focusing back on the road causing yourself to miss the look of slight sadness he sends your way.
You pull up to a parking space not far from where the restaurant is located and James seems confused.
“There’s no restaurant around here.” He asks you sounding a bit puzzled.
“It’s over there down the alley a little bit. Come on, trust me.” You hop out the car with no hesitation and James seems to hesitate for a second before hopping out.
“This place better be worth it.”
“Like I said, you’ll love it.” Without skipping a beat you turn down the dark alley way. James follows closely behind you.
“Aww, is the baby afraid of the dark?” You tease him.
“Haha, I’m just worried about what could happen to you. You know what sort of an area this is.”
“Nothing’s ever happened to us before, I’m 100% sure that nothing could possibly happen to us now, besides, we’re here already.” You turn to the seemingly unmarked door which has a tiny sign beside it simply saying ‘open’ in neon letters.
“This is it? Your fabulous burger joint?” James now seems sceptical.
“Exactly, come on.” You open up the door and enter. Inside the place is quite nice, red carpeted floors, pale coloured walls, even the chairs and tables look to have been made to a very high standard.
“Table for two, under James.” You tell the waitress at the bar.
“Oh yes, here you are, over in the corner there.” James has now come up behind you.
“Nice of you to join us James, our table is over there I’ll order our usuals. I‘ll have a bacon burger with lettuce and cucumber and he’ll have special number 2 please.” You rattle off to the waitress with practised ease.
