You are standing by a tree
There are 3 paths.
One appears to go to a jungle,
one appears to go to a cave,
one appears to go to a beach,
you could try and climb the tree,
there is a nearby shop you could go in,
or you could do something else.
So what's its going to be?

In the shop
There is a table with a sign saying
Free Sample:
Take one
On the table there is a fridge with a range of liquids. Also on the table are various magical trinkets including costumes. What would you like to take, or would you like to buy something?

Neat!
You decide to pick out the shark's tooth necklace.
As soon as you put it on, you feel faint and collapse.
You come to, but you are no longer in the shop.
You are surrounded by rock with a pool nearby. The water in the pool goes in and comes out again and again, like the tide. You realize that you are in an underwater cave.
It is at that moment that you realize that your location is far from the only thing that's changed.
Your skin is now grey. A thick tail ending in a caudal fin extends out of your backside. A dorsal fin sticks out between your shoulder blades. You glance at your hands. Your nails are gone. Your feet have no toes. You feel through the inside of your newly-grown muzzle and feel rows of sharp teeth.
But that's not all! You now sport a pair of breasts; not too large, nor too small. An examination "down below" confirms that you have indeed switched genders, much to your dismay.
You now sport a wetsuit. You feel for the necklace, but it is gone!
Realizing you have nowhere else to go, you dive into the pool. Breathing underwater for the first time, you swim through the tunnel, you continue until you exit through the maw of the cave. You now find yourself in a vast coral reef teeming with life.
You decide to put your new body through its paces. You make all sorts of quick and agile underwater maneuvers.
You are just getting into the swing of things when you realize something's wrong. Your legs are gone! The wetsuit has even adjusted itself to accommodate your tail alone. You try willing your legs back. They reform themselves. You try making your legs shrink and regrow several times before deciding to carry on legless. You feel a little like a mermaid in this form.
You continue swimming until you see two things;
To the right, you see seafloor slope upwards. Perhaps the shore is close by!
To the right, you see a dark mass that looks vaguely familiar.
Where do you go?

What can I say? I'm a landlubber!
You decide to head for land. Maybe you can figure out where the heck you are!
As the water gets shallower and shallower, you decide to regrow your legs. Fun as breathing underwater is, you can't wait to get back on dry land!
You end up walking ashore. You take in your surroundings. It is a tropical island. You can't see any buildings or any sign of human life.
However, one thing catches your sharky eye.
What is it?

You DO look good in black!
It's a small black choker.
You put it on. You immediately tingle with some sort of energy, but you can't see any immediate changes.
You walk back into the water. The water feels cold from being on land for so long, so you are nervous about putting your whole body in. You keep walking until you realize that you've gone out a good 30 feet from the shore and the water's only at knee height.
You run back ashore. You gasp as you realize that your legs are now three times longer than they should be!
The surprise at this discovery causes you to fall down. As you fall, you instinctively put your arms behind you to break your fall. You stop falling sooner than you expect.
Your arms are now as extended as your legs! You try willing your limbs back to their original shape. They comply.
You grin and try extending your arm towards a tree about fifteen feet away. You manage to not only reach the tree, but wrap your arm around its trunk, gripping your stretchy arm with its own hand. Your arm looks like a thick, fleshy rope. You use your other arm to pull it down, and then release it. It twangs like a guitar string.
After a few more stretchy exercises, you find that your tail, neck, and torso can also extend, and that you can easily contort your body into knots. It's as if you're made of rubber!
You realize that you can put this ability to good use! You walk up to the trees near the beach and extend your legs until you're taller than the trees. Now you can see for a long way around!
You can see a landmark. Running through the island is what appears to be a great canyon. On your side of the canyon, two more sights catch your eye. A tower that looks manmade can be seen on the shore a ways away. Deeper into the jungle, you can see a clearing filled with huts.
What do you do? Where do you go?

Where did everyone go?
You decide to head for the huts. Perhaps you can get some idea of what this place is!
As you walk there, you find yourself grateful for this crazy, stretchy body. If (as in one occasion), a log blocks your path that's wider than you're tall, you can just extend your legs and step over it. You also catch yourself a meal by using a rubbery arm to snatch a fowl from a long distance away and stuff it into your mouth.
Once you finally reach the clearing, you find that the village you saw is...
...there's no one there.
You search each and every one of the huts. Not only is there no one there, but not one of the huts is furnished.
Weird!
You notice that the sun is beginning to set. You decide to spend the night in one of the huts.
However, sleeping on the floor looks somewhat uncomfortable. But on seeing a crossbeam above you, you get an idea.
You extend your arms and then loop them around the beam until they are tied tightly to each other and to the beam. Then you reach your legs up and do the same with them. Finally, you extend your tail around your body, thread it over your right arm, under your head, and over your left arm, before extending it further until you make it knot itself to your left leg. Just like that, you've become your own hammock!
It actually feels pretty relaxing being suspended like this, and soon, you fall asleep.
