You are standing by a tree
There are 3 paths.
One appears to go to a jungle,
one appears to go to a cave,
one appears to go to a beach,
you could try and climb the tree,
there is a nearby shop you could go in,
or you could do something else.
So what's its going to be?
Written by catprog on 01 April 2003
In the shop
There is a table with a sign saying
<strong>Free Sample:</strong>
Take one
On the table there is a fridge with a range of liquids. Also on the table are various magical trinkets including costumes. What would you like to take, or would you like to buy something?

You read the rest of it.
TFU is looking for students. We offer a wide range of courses with scholarships available for most students.
Come to our open day on Friday for a look around the campus.
The rest of the scroll is directions and your arrive at the campus bright and early.
There are a number of tours you can pick.
(describe the tour when you write it in a sentence or so to be put on this page)

Kottur
<br/>You look at the schedule and their is a tour of Kottur Hall coming up; it's one of a group of buildings where they hold classes for future veterinarians. You look at the photos of the people in the facility and grin when you see someone has Photoshopped the head of a cat onto one of the portraits. Pretty good job, too. <br/> <br/>You find the start of the tour just before a small group of people leave. Yep it seems to be a normal set of classrooms. but there only showing the bottem level and you don't actually know what is studied here. They the tour goes to a room of plants that seem to be mostly catnip. So mostly gardening perhaps. <br/> <br/>You reach up and scratch your ears. They seem slightly pointy but that is obviously not possibly so you ignore it. <br/> <br/>
<br/>

Classes
<br/>They then go onto a series of classes about taking care of every aspect of cats. So this building seems to be focused on felines. <br/> <br/>The tour then finishes and you get a brochure about the courses they offer. All their courses seem to have the same starting class. 101M or 101F . <br/> <br/>The brochure says that tuition is $50,000 a year... but reading further, you discover that the University offers quite a large selection of financial assistance programs, not to mention there seems to be quite a few job openings in the area. In fact... if you're reading the brochure right, it looks like a smart student might actually be able to end up with more than 50 grand worth of financial assistance! That's a very persuasive argument for attending TFU. <br/> <br/>You flick back and read up a bit on the difference between the 2 101 classes. It seems that M is for males and F is for females. However they do say it is all right for males is F and versa versa. <br/> <br/>The person manning the booth then tells you their is only one spot left in the intake for the year and to sign up quickly if you want to do the course. <br/> <br/>

<br/>It sounds a little like a high-pressure sales technique... but apart from that, it seems like a decent enough school, and there are all those scholarships and so on... You sign up and are disappointed when you find the 101M class is already full but you get the last 101F spot instead. Hey maybe you will meet a cute girl there. <br/> <br/>You fill out all the forms for the job applications and scholarships and are told you will know within the week . You also get a list of books you need for the unit. <br/> <br/>Some of them are a little strange "My life as a cat"?. Could be anything though really. <br/> <br/>

To the dormitory
<br/>You follow the instructions to your dormitory. It's listed as a co-ed building, but there seem to be very few males in it for some reason. <br/> <br/>You notice a few people wearing tails and you go and ask about it "e;Yeah.were 2nd year students. We have to wear these tails all year"e; <br/> <br/>"Why? I mean, that's kind of... weird, isn't it?" <br/> <br/>"I think they want us thinking like cats when we become vets" <br/> <br/>Which would explain that odd MY LIFE AS A CAT book... <br/> <br/>

Ask about the lack of males
<br/>You ask about the lack of males. "e;Yeah they put all of us in the F class in this dorm and the Ms in another one "e; <br/> <br/>"e;So did you choose F or was there no spots left in M?"e; <br/> <br/>"e;There was only this spot avaliable"e; <br/> <br/>"e;Well, I wouldn't worry about it -- males tend to get rescheduled to the M program within a couple of years."e; <br/> <br/>

To your room
<br/>You say goodbye and go up to your room. Yeah nothing interesting here and open your textbook. <br/> <br/>You open the book and start reading. The author is quite skilled; his prose is so compelling that you almost feel like you are a cat. <br/> <br/>Before you know it there is a knock on your door and you see a bunch of people. "e;Hi we're new too and wanted to introduce ourselves. You up for pizza?"e; <br/> <br/>"e;Sure"e; you say. <br/> <br/>

To the cafeteria
<br/>You go to the cafeteria and find out that all the food is cat themed. "Well I guess they are really into the cat theme" one of the new girls says. <br/> <br/>You find something that looks all right and as you eat you notice that the older students are eating the more cat-like food like sushi. <br/> <br/>Despite the unusual foods, your meal is one of the best you have had. <br/> <br/>The next week passes quickly and you get to know your fellow classmates. And your scholarship and job applications are accepted and yep it appears you'll have a bit of money to spend even after paying for your tuition. <br/> <br/>You expected that living in the female dominated building might take some getting used to, but it doesn't. Perhaps the most obvious difference from other dorms is that there is not a lot of parties keeping you awake at night. Another difference: Rather than a small number of communal bathrooms, every room has its own attached toilet and shower stall. You do have to get in early to get hot water though. <br/> <br/>

Start the classes
<br/>Before you know it the classes start. You can count the males on one hands. Well that is to be expected in the F stream. <br/> <br/>Apart from that small detail it is your standard university. <br/> <br/>Of course your first class is different: Feline Psychology 101. <br/> <br/>2 hours later your 1st class is finished and you blink confused for a moment. You almost thought you were a cat for a moment in there and the lecturer almost looked feline too. <br/> <br/>After a bit of talking you find that no-one else saw her as a feline and you dismiss the thought. <br/> <br/>

Next year
<br/>The year passes quickly. There are other classes in which you see that odd 'cat illusion', but since nobody else seems to notice anything, you pay them no mind. By the next year, you get to choose you tail. They are lots of choices and you get a white tiger tail. <br/> <br/>The workplaces are understanding and you notice a few other tail wearers from the M stream and they describe similar experiences (and some see the cat illusion too) <br/> <br/>As the year passes you soon get used to the tail. <br/> <br/>

Middle of the year
You are surprised when in the middle of the year you are transferred and you find yourself in a dormitory you did not know about. filled with cat people. You are doubly surprised when you find that your tail is now a proper tail.
You soon find out that the university is hiding a large rip in reality and magic is leaking into this universe. And the tail is the first sign of you being changed by it.
You are introduced to the heads of the facility who are are felines. While most are anthro there are a few other forms such as 2 varieties of taurs, a satyric form and even a few feral forms.
"Despite our studies we still don't know much about the magic. We do know it changes humans into other species -- and whatever the gender ratio started out as among those who change, it always seems to end up 50-50."

More details
"Is that why there is the F&M branches?" <br/> <br/>They nod. "When the first gender-swaps occurred, it seems to have been random, and some of the changed people didn't deal with it very well; we had to try to stop it from happening, or at least make it happen less often. The two-track idea was the first thing we tried, and fortunately, it seems to have worked. "
"Much the same is true of the species changes. They were initially random, as far as we could tell, but now that we've got specific course-sequences which focus on various species, the species-changes are almost exclusively restricted to those sequences."
Written by Catprog & Cubist on 09 November 2010
"But why didn't you tell me on the 1st day?"
"But why didn't you tell me on the 1st day?"
"You wouldn't have believed it," they reply. Which is true enough... magic and species-changing and all that, not exactly a credible story."Hell, some of us don't believe it! Also, we'd much rather not let this become public knowledge just yet. I'm sure you can see why."
You nod "How long does the change take?"
"It varies, depending on how much time you spend close to the rift. The dorm you're now in is right on top of it, so your transformation should be complete in about a month. We don't know why it takes that long; the change shouldn't be possible at all, so why shouldn't it finish up in an instant?"
"Anyway this is where we study the magic to try and control it and see if these changes can be reversed."

Spells
<br/>"We have made some progress in understanding the magic. One of the 'spells' allows us to power small electrical devices." <br/> <br/>"We haven't had much luck however with transformation spells, the best we have done is changed hydrogen gas into helium. Is good for providing funding." <br/> <br/>"And we don't like to take chance with humans here, You need to wear your costume so the magic doesn't change midstream ,like what happened to a couple of the original changed" <br/> <br/>"Of cause if you don't like your costume you can make modifications, some of them stick to the form, others do not." <br/> <br/>
<br/>

Modifications
<br/>";We do have a few winged people as an example of one of the changes. It does seem that it has to exist in mythology or in real life. It seems fictional creatures get changed into the nearest match." <br/> <br/>He points to the non anthro people "So far we have only managed to get the anthro form. Most of the others are from the original change. The others are the ones who left and came back when the changes continue. Most of them are the quadruped ones"e; <br/> <br/>"One thing we have learnt is wearing only the bottom half equals the top changing to match" <br/> <br/>He leads you to a white tigeress costume. "Here is your costume." <br/> <br/>

Tigress?
Wait a second -- tigress? I'm going to suffer a gender swap?" <br/> <br/>"Yeah you are one of the ones in the F stream"
"Then get me into the M stream! Or I'm transferring to another university!"
"Unfortunately there is no space left."
"No space left? What do you mean, no space left?"
"We have limited resources -- we can handle only so many students in any given branch."
"I would not recommend transferring universities. We think the change will still occur but it will take a lot longer and and you have a lot less choice about what you become"
"You may notice the multiple pair of breasts We find that having a single pair means they become quite large. This way they are kept small."
Written by Catprog & Cubist on 13 November 2010
Don't care
'I don't care about the number or the size. I am male and not wearing that"
"Well suit yourself , but anything could happen to you. if you want any control then you need to wear it."
"So anything you want to modify on the costume. Apart from making it male which doesn't work and quite a few have tried "
"Just a minute. My species has changed enough that I have a tail -- but I haven't noticed anything that would indicate I'm turning into a woman!"
"Well based on our knowledge, half the people will end up male and have half your class is already in male costumes"
Written by Catprog & Cubist on 14 November 2010
Deny the changes
"So, you're saying that this magic can change your species more easily than it changes your sex? That's... hard to believe. Look, I'm just not wearing any female costume, and that's all there is to it, okay?"
He nods "We'll just keep it here in case you change your mind when the changes start"
"Like, say, I grow a pair of oversized breasts or something," you reply dubiously. You're not sure why these people are so insistent about getting you to wear a female costume -- maybe doing so is what would make you turn female? but why would they want to do that? -- but at the same time, you're also not entirely sure you can afford to dismiss what they say out of hand. You do, after all, have a sinuous, tiger-striped tail...
That night you have a weird dream... at least, you think it was weird. In the morning, all you remember of this dream is that you were some sort of female cat-thing. You yawn and stretch a little... and find that your chest is rather tender. More: You find that you've acquired four more nipples on your chest than you had the night before! You panic a little -- and then you recall that cats have more nipples than humans. Just as the single pair of nipples you formerly had didn't mean you were a woman, so the three pairs of nipples you now have don't necessarily mean you're becoming a female. And... yep, your groin is unchanged. Good.
So today you learn about this magic. Magic 101. You spend the whole day trying to get at least some use of the magic. The instructors warn you that it usually takes a month to get a spark"

Large spell
At midday you feel a large spark flow through you and you black out before you gain control of it.
You awake and stare in the face of a male tiger. To your surprise he is quite attractive. You look down and to your shock you have 3 pairs of large breasts. You are turning into a female! You rush to the costume to try and get some control.
You put it on and unfortunately for you the breasts are still large even in the costume -- you'd rather not think about cup sizes, thanks just the same.
You look at a clock and are surprised to see that it is already pass the end of class. Just how long were you out? And why didn't the instructor try to wake you up? Or... maybe they did try to wake you up, and couldn't?
Well you did create a large spark much earlier then any one else. Perhaps you could create something to make your chest a more manageable size.
But your so tired all of sudden. That magic must of taken lots out of you. You stumble to your room and collapse into the bed...

Claws and sheets
<br/>The next morning, you stretch out -- and you hear a tearing sound as your new claws rip the sheet. You roll up the costume to look for other changes but your claws are the only change. <br/> <br/>So what can you do to make this costume more what you like? Well, the tits aren't that bad, but you definitely want to be as male as possible. So the question is, how much of your remaining masculinity can you retain -- and how can you protect it? <br/> <br/>

To the library
<br/>To the library to find out about tiger biology... no. This is magic, not mundane biology. And apparently, costumes can control, or at least influence, the magic that's changing you. So if you want to stay male, you'll need a male costume! <br/> <br/>The others are always wearing their so you will have to make one, and you need to make it as life-like as possible so the magic can work. To the library. <br/> <br/>You spend most of the day studying and the rest making the modifications. <br/> <br/>
<br/>

It works, kind of
<br/>You sleep the night and in the morning you smile as your equipment has changed to a tiger's and... what? you got female bits, too? Curiously, after the initial surprise fades, you can't really work up any outrage -- or even annoyance -- over your literally bi-sexual status. You are what you are, and what you are now has double the chance of finding a compatible date on Saturday nights. <br/> <br/>Wait, what are you thinking? Great... your mind has been modified again...
"The researchers could use this information," you think having not heard of someone being both. <br/> <br/>Time to try and get the spark again. You go to the lab and can't find the spark although there is sparks of a different kind with the tiger and you think he shares your feelings. You even catch yourself purring at him seductively.
"Not now," he rumbles -- but he's interested, you can tell from his scent. "Tonight, hmmm? Your place or mine?"
