You are standing by a tree
There are 3 paths.
One appears to go to a jungle,
one appears to go to a cave,
one appears to go to a beach,
you could try and climb the tree,
there is a nearby shop you could go in,
or you could do something else.
So what's its going to be?

You walk towards the jungle
All of a sudden the path collapses behind you. Luckily you can still continue to the jungle.
As you do you start to grow orange fur with black stripes. You feel an enjoyable sensation as the wind rushes through your fur.
Teeth fill your mouth, so big they grow out like a sabre-toothed tiger's teeth.
Your nose and mouth then catch up. You watch as your new muzzle takes up the middle of your field of vision. Your brain is assaulted with lots of new smells.
As your ears grow pointy your hearing improves.
Meanwhile the rest of your body is changing too. You have a tail and have been forced onto 4 legs.
As look at yourself, you realise you're now a tiger.

Walk towards the hill
You walk towards a hill to get a better view of the island. When you get to the top you see?

Rat warrior
At the base of the hill you see what appears to be a humoniod rat man wearing desiccated amour and a weird round hat. his attention seems to be drawn to something moving in the nearby trees. Whatever it is it has him looking like a vulture ready to strike. He readies his staff as if to attack but instead just holds fast. Standing almost as still as a statue he waits for the thing to make its first move.
Then without warning hands reach up out of the dirt and grasp his legs pulling him to the ground. At that same moment the creature from the bushes leaps out and attacks. Its 18 inch razor sharp claws slash rapidly at his armour but even pinned to the ground he somehow manages to avoid there attacks. "Rarrrgh!" yells the rat man at the demonic fiend as he lashes it with his staff. As it flies through the air it takes on a fiery aura igniting all that it touches. "Damned be you creatures and back to your abyss I shall send you!" as he yells this you fell a coldness on your back.
Spinning around you see one of the creatures that is attacking the rat man in your face. Its rancid stench and ghoulish skin leave no room for error. This is an undead creature of considerable decay. It lashes out for you and you narrowly escape its claws. What shall you do?

Slash slash! claw claw! bite!
Being a tiger you feel like a formidable opponent for this thing. You draw on your, oh so recently gained, instincts. Lashing out with all the fury of the storm you wrap your claws around the back of its head and claw back.
It is thrown to the ground by the force of the blow but seemingly unharmed.
You pounce on the creature and tear out its innards with your rear claws and bite the throat goring the creature in a way that words fail to describe. It continues to fight an struggle against you lashing at you with its claws. A few times it manages to sink the feterd points of its razors into your hide but you shrug it off. With all your attention focused on the creature in your paws you fail to notice the changes in the environment around you.

Dead things don't die.
Disembowelment doesn't seem to be working on the thing - not surprising on an undead creature. The only purpose of internal organs is to keep things alive, and judging by the amount of decay here, these ones gave up doing that a while ago. It's time to try something else. You abandon the traditional feline attack and go for the thing's limbs instead.
Their strength is purely supernatural; the rotting muscles tear quite easily. All it takes are two jerks of your head and a kick of your hind paws, and the clawed arms and legs are on the ground, about as dangerous as a bunch of arthritic snakes. The thing (what's left of it) doesn't seem to be bright enough to notice. It hisses and tries to gouge you with the claws it no longer has. You remove its head, just to be safe, and look around.
The rat warrior isn't faring quite so well. Most of the dead things are attacking him; yours probably only attacked you because you were in the way. The warrior's armor protects most of him from the claws and teeth of the attackers, but the buried claws are still holding him to the ground, and he has to whirl his staff constantly just to protect his head and neck. It doesn't look like he can keep it up much longer.
