The Recovery Room
You wake up to the smell of disinfectant. You sit up and looked around. You immediately see that you’re in a hospital. A woman in a lab coat walks by and looks directly at you but keeps moving by. You assume she is a nurse.
â€Ã...“Hay!†You hear a voice come from your left. â€Ã...“Over here!â€ÂÂÂ
You look over to your left only to see a man sitting up, staring at you.
â€Ã...“You must be that new soldier I heard about. Definitely look different.â€ÂÂÂ
What the man said reminded you of what happened in that room. You look down and see that your legs are like your arms. That’s when you realize that you must be some sort of fox. The nurse came back with the man you gave you the injection.
â€Ã...“Good to see that your awake†he said putting his hand in his pocket. â€Ã...“You have been asleep for a while. Hope you were not in pain.â€ÂÂÂ
You let out a little grows instinctively. You know that he does not care about your well being at all.
â€Ã...“No need to be like that.†He pulls out a flashlight from his pocket and waves it in front of your eyes. â€Ã...“Just follow the light with your eyes please.â€ÂÂÂ
You follow the light but something is different. The light seems to be… more intense then you would think it to be.
When he turns the light off, you close your eyes. â€Ã...“The light may seem to be fairly bright but you will adjust.†The scientist runs some other tests on you and writes some things on a clipboard. â€Ã...“We will start the next step tomorrow. Better get some rest now.
You wonder what will happen tomorrow. Also you think I have been tranquillized, and unconscious. How much rest do I need. None the less you lay back down in bed, thinking.
