Centaur
"I'll just be a centaur," you say. You're not feeling the least bit bold right now.
"Excellent," the scientist says, disconnecting you from the robot horse. He hands a clipboard to the tyrannosaur creature and tells him to find a matching stallion mare You twist around to watch the creature leave, and don't notice the other scientist sticking a needle into your arm. You quickly lose consciousness....
When you wake up, your top half has been joined to the body of a horse. The connection is a rough one, nothing like the centaurs of mythology. There's a visible seam between you and the horse, and if you twist around, you can see the black cord connecting your spine with the horse spine. "We just need to complete the unifying transformation," the scientist says, sticking you with another needle.
This time, the connection sort of melts. The cord is gone, and the seam between horse and human disappears. The creatures open the larger door, and you're led by the scientists into what appears to be some sort of stable.
In the stalls are various half-human creatures. The animal halves are so varied, though, you almost regret your lack of creativity in choosing to join a horse. Whispers of "new arrival, new arrival," echo through the stable, as you're led to an empty stall. So this is your life now. But what happens next?
