You step into the elevator. You figure it'll at least give you more options. The doors snap shut behind you, and you have a look around. Most of the elevator is mirrored, like the lobby. On the ceiling, though, is a device that appears to be a ray gun, the kind they show in 1920s interpretations of the "future." It looks menacing, and it looks like it can kill things, and it tracks your movements. You decide to be ever so careful as you select a button. Unfortunately, the buttons are all abbreviations, so they don't make much sense to you...
