Suddenly something catches your eye out of the corner of your eye and then another.It is another seal and it is coming right for you and it isn't alone. You start to panic and flail about as you try to figure out what to do next.
"Did you run into a genie as well" one of them asks.
"What?" you ask looking at her.
"A genie, you know a magical being that is capable of granting wishes? It is one explanation for why you are in a female selkie body."
"I'm female?" you ask surprised.
"Let me guess, you used to be male?" she asks again.
"Yeah, how did you know?"
"Your reaction. Although it is much more common for males to become female then the reverse. Their are few male selkies after all. "
"What, why?"
"One male can have lot of pups but it takes a lot longer for the females"
"I...see" you say looking over your body.
"Don't worry. You won't be forced to have pups of your own."
"Oh" you say as the other seal comes up to you.
He looks at you and the other seal for a moment and then says "Let's go back to the group"
"What? Why?" the other asks.
"Because she is new and needs help getting used to her new body. And I don't think we are going to find any humans out here."
"Oh, fine." she says and swims off with the other seal following behind.
