Sphinx
Your current physical vessel is simply inadequate to contain what’s happening to you as your body begins to shift, concentrating behind your front legs. It’s as though you’re stretching, yet when you reach your limits your body stretches to grow with it. What looks like little more than flaps of skin start to shift and gain feathers as they emerge, the tiny seat of wings rapidly becoming larger and stronger. You feel your face also joining in on the changes, losing its feline features and returning to your human form.
No more happens in terms of physical changes, other than your wings gaining size and strength enough to easily help lift you off the ground. The changes to your mind are what are truly extraordinary. As you look at the Sky, with all its worlds and realities, you can assess immediately which are in danger, which will need help soon, and where you can find potential new recruits with just a casual glance. If you really concentrate, you can get a full assessment of a world or realities features dating back to their creation.
You don’t have a mirror, but you know what you are the second the transformation is done. A sphinx, a divine beast. Each of the lionesses surrounding you are connected to you, and trust you with their lives. In turn, you can channel your power to aid them and guide them. You know them like you know yourself, so you’re certain that Areilla will be best suited to handle the incoming threat on the planet Fantorsa, the portal to that world opening behind her with the barest thought from you. She goes without hesitation, and you already know the results of her quest before her tail has fully disappeared through the portal
Your powerful wings carry you with ease up onto the rocky outcropping where you perch, smiling down at your pride. You’re powerful, in charge of a loyal group of lionesses, and your job is to maintain the balance between worlds. Is this a challenge? Of course, but its one you eagerly welcome.
