Let nature work its course emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar emptystar

You walk towards the bear, a little uneasy by the sight of the raw, dead animal before you. Your nerves are tempered slightly by your gryphon side; thankfully. That hald of you is ravenous, seeing the bear in the same light you would have viewed an all-you-can-eat buffet in an past life.

Without any hesitation, you let your human mind sink back and have your gryphon self take the helm. It makes it a little easier to zone out and ignore what you're eating, instead enjoying the flavor.

And indeed, flavor abounds here. The bear is rich and gamey, its meat not too tough but not too supple either. Your beak makes short work of the bites, and each chomp lets warm juices run down your throat.

It's almost like you're eating steak right now, even as you bury your face deeper into the bear.

Before too long, you find that you've eaten your fill, and you pull your head back to find Talon staring at you with something akin to shock.

"What?" You ask, slurping up what you feel might be your last bite of bear not because you really want to stop eating, but because you need to.

"I mean... That's kind of a lot for someone who just a few minutes ago looked like they were going to hurl from the sight of me eating it, right?"

You look to him in surprise, tilting your head to the right. "Well... Yeah, but..." You chuckle anxiously, knowing how crazy this will surely sound. "I mean, I just let my inner gryphon take over, you know?"

He seems even more shocked than before. You realize that perhaps he might not have realized he could do this, and you look to him inquisitively.

"Wait... Have you not done that before? I mean, have you not let the animal instincts guide you?" You ask, more than a little surprised yourself. Had he really been able to learn how to fly; to hunt; to eat all on his own?

"I mean, I didn't know there was another way to do it!" Talon exclaims, ruffling his wings again and looking back to you in shock. "You can't be serious, right? Have we always had some kind of autopilot?"

"I think?" You offer helpfully, smiling. "I mean, I have at least..."

He snorts, tossing his head. "No way! Okay, so first thing we need to do is teach you to fly; on your own, okay? No instincts."

Again you find yourself shocked by this idea, though it does seem to be a rather good one...
