Rating 3 / 5

First up is a list of things that have gone into the blender

Somehow all these combine to form an interesting story that works.

The outside motivations of one of the supporting characters are their but I am wondering if they have secret motivations.

The story starts with a large pyramid emerging from the ground hitting one of the helicopters which has almost just arrived

Inside, the mercenaries encounter a creature which slaughters a nearby village. We then get our scientists who are the primary characters, along with our main character.

By the end of the book we find out what the sides are and mostly who is on which side.

Why a 3 rating though? Many things do not make sense, for instance a mercenary group demolishing a house while in choppers should of gotten a response by the government but their is no mention of it.

That being said the book is enjoyable if you ignore the logic holes in the plot
