Rating 4 / 5
I really wanted to give this one a 5. The world building, the story is a 5 quality. The only problem is the transformation content itself is just short of what would be required for a 5
The story starts off with your standard abusive alpha in charge of a pack, he is killed in the first few chapters by the main character. The rest of the story is him trying to put the pack he inherited back together.
The world building is excellent. Despite being stuck in the wilderness we get a very good idea of the state of play in the wider world without it being distracting.
Overall it passes the major test. Will I seek out the sequels? I have already read the first three.
