One of the big things that I found distracting was the transition. At one point they are in a restaurant and then one character is walking through the doors of their suite. A couple of paragraphs later the other character is joining them.
We get a bit of character development where one character can handle a conversation after reading a few books
The main problem however is they start going between locations with no plot happening.
