Your hands and everything else were becoming more and more fitting for a smaller human like body without actually becoming human, save everything from the waist down.
You watch in horror as your tail retreats into your body, upsetting your balance for a short moment while you steady yourself against a bookcase, the horrid transformation quickly settling though. Your top half has remained draconic with your wings only having gotten smaller as opposed to vanishing, your tail is gone though and from the waist down your legs are fully human and red skinned, matching your scales although you don't doubt the coloration might be slowly reverting to what it once was.
